Our scholarship is awarded bi-annually to qualified applicants to help them to pursue their educational and life goals.

Take a look at the following criteria to find out if you qualify.
Legally Blind
The scholarship applicant must have medical documentation that he/she is legally blind.
- Complete lack of sight form and visual light perception and is clinically recorded as NLP (No Light Perception); of having less than 1/10 of normal vision in the more efficient eye when refractive defects are fully corrected by lenses.
- Legally blind (as recognized by law in most states) means that the better eye, using the best possible methods of correction, has visual clarity of 20/200 or worse or that the visual field is restricted to 20% or less.
High School Senior
Applicant must:
- Be classified as a graduating senior
- Must have a 2.0 GPA or above (Provide officail transcript)
- Must be in good citizenship standing with high school
College Acceptance
Applicant will provide a letter of acceptance into an accredited, college, university or technical school beyond the high school level in the State of South Carolina.
Short Letter
Applicant must submit a one page letter explaining the reason why they need the scholarship (minimum 50 words)
*Finalists may be asked to complete an interview with the Scholarship Committee*

Scholarship Application
Scholarship applications must be filled out and mailed or emailed one of the addresses below. Students can also submit the application online. All applications must be postmarked by the given deadline. Students can also submit the application online on the webstite.

Documentation of Blindness and Transcript
All documents of legal blindness and your high school transcript must be mailed or emailed to the address below.

Our Review Process
The review process takes approximately five business days. This review process will begin when all required materials are recieved.

Award Letter
After our review process an award letter will be sent to the student, the student's high school and his or her college, university or technical school of choice, dictating the scholarship amount given.

Bi-Yearly Status Updates
Once the awardee has entered his/her higher learning instituiton of choice, the scholarship committee will reach out to the student to check-in on the student's academic well-being and reassess the student's financial need.
